Get hold of one of the booklets dealing with using epoxy for wooden boat building. In Australia, Boatcraft Pacific produce an inexpensive booklet on using Bote-Cote epoxy. System Three offers "The Epoxy Book" free - ask them for it. The ultimate is the Gougeon Brothers on Boatbuilding, a massive and definitive tome.

Please, understand what you'll be doing before you start. Tide and epoxy cures wait for no man, woman or domestic animal. A couple of things not mentioned in epoxy books-- cats are a menace, unless you intend to use one as an epoxy brush; and many of the uncured epoxies on clothes or fur clean off well with ordinary vinegar. But work clean!
