WYTCHCRAFT AND PAGANISM IN THE NEWSPAPERS

The media cannot seem to help themselves. Anything to do with Paganism, Wytchcraft and other Occult practices tend to make headlines, whether good or bad. Judging from some of articles which have appeared in recent times, it is clear that journalists only report what they want readers to hear - that Pagans and other magickal practitioners are "fringe dwellers" who are often depicted as "freaks" - compared with "normal" society. However, every now and then a story appears which has more truth to it than the normal rubbish.

Following are just some articles which have appeared in the Australian newspapers in recent times.

Newspaper Articles

"Witchcraft Offence to Disappear in a Puff of Smoke"

"500,000 Australians in Cults"

Move Over, God - It's time to make room for a real power

"Aboriginal Woman Curses Australian PM"

If you come across a story on Paganism, Wytchcraft or other Occult practices which has appeared in Australian or New Zealand newspapers that you feel should be included, then tell us about it.
