Proxy settings for Internet Explorer 4

How to configure Internet Explorer 4.x to use the proxy server.

• Open Internet Explorer.
• Goto "View" then "Internet Options".
  
  
  
  
• Choose the tab labelled "Connection".
  
  
  
  
• Place a tick in the box labelled "Access the Internet using a proxy server", then choose "Advanced". (see above)
  
  
• In the top line next to HTTP type "proxy.ace.net.au" and enter the port number as "8080"
  
  
  
  
• "Use the same server for all protocols"
  
• In the area "Do not use proxy server for addresses beginning with:", enter "*.ace.net.au"
  
  
• Select "OK", then reload the page you are viewing.
